SOUTH BEND - Blanca A. Ruiz-Mercado, 18, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016 in Zacatecas, Mexico.

Blanca was born June 13, 1997 in San Bernardino, CA to Inosente Ruiz and Emilia Ruiz; they survive along with her brothers & sisters, Ylaneth Ruiz of South Bend, Luis A. Ruiz of Mexico, Elizabeth Ruiz of South Bend, Carina M. Ruiz of South Bend, Edgardo Ruiz of South Bend, and Perla Ruiz of South Bend.

Blanca is joining her two baby angels in Heaven, Juan Antonio Salas-Ruiz (December 20, 2014), and she was currently expecting her second baby.

Blanca attended Washington High School where she was a baton twirler. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church. Blanca enjoyed exercising, listening to Tamborazo music, and dancing in her cowboy boots. She also enjoyed a good cup of coffee. Blanca loved going to Mezquitic Jalisco Mexico every December.

Visitation for Blanca is 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, April 8, 2016 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:30 pm. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, April 9, 2016 in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
