I went to Earlham College over in Richmond, IN amd was an English Lit major. I wanted to go into teaching at the high school level, but my school didn’t have an education program so I took a few years off to work and figure out what to do for a masters. I ended up working a few other jobs, then went to Florida to work as a counselor for a camp that deals with juvenile delinquents and corrections.
We actually lived out in the woods in tents that were built out of pine. I then went to Ball State University and worked as a dorm mom for the Indiana Academy for students who are gifted and talented. While there I worked on my masters at school counseling, and graduated in 2005 and began my journey around Indiana working at a few different types of schools. I got married, and 5 years ago moved back to the South Bend area. I currently live on the far westside of town and work at Mishawaka high school.
