Diana M. Dolde, a cherished sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025, at the age of 78 in her hometown of South Bend, Indiana. Born on January 26, 1947, to the late Edward and Clariec (Paidle) Ferger, Diana's life was a testament to her unwavering spirit and the joy she brought to those around her.
Diana's early years in South Bend were filled with the warmth of a close-knit family and the bonds she formed lasted a lifetime. Her brother, James Ferger, along with his wife Debra, remember her as a guiding light, while her niece Jamie Richard and nephew Josh Ferger recall her as a source of endless support and love.
After completing her associate degree, Diana embarked on a career marked by compassion and dedication. She served as the Development Director at Corvilla for over two decades, where her efforts had a significant impact on the lives of many. Her commitment to service extended to her involvement with the March of Dimes for 20 years, and her professional journey also included a meaningful tenure at Lesea Broadcasting for five years.
Beyond her professional achievements, Diana was known for her passion for gardening, which was evident in the vibrant blooms that adorned her home each spring. Her culinary skills were unmatched, and her love for cooking was only rivaled by the pleasure she took in entertaining guests. Friends and family alike will fondly remember the gatherings she hosted, filled with laughter, delicious food, and the warmth of her company.
In keeping with Diana’s wishes, cremation will take place with no service. Palmer Funeral Home – West Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
