NEW CARLISLE - Thomas Morton Whittaker, 67, of New Carlisle, formerly of South Bend, IN passed away at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at his home. He was born on July 8, 1949 in South Bend, IN to the late Clarence and Pearl (Barker) Whittaker.

Thomas is survived by his daughter, Krystal Ann (Michael) Rosplock of South Bend, IN; son, Kyle Thomas (Heidi Rosenberg) Whittaker of South Bend, IN; mother of his children, Vicky A. (Gabor) Whittaker of South Bend, IN; former daughter-in-law, Deanna Whittaker of South Bend, IN; five grandchildren, Makenna Scharlotte Rosplock, Kaiden Thomas Rosplock, Madelyn Sadie Rosplock, Kyanna Taylor Whittaker and Kason Dayne Whittaker and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard Whittaker.

Thomas was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Washington High School in 1967. He loved different varieties of cars and drag racing, especially NHRA. He was a collector of all types of movies and was an avid Notre Dame fan. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Thomas was a long time member of the New Apostolic Church and was well known for his outgoing friendly personality.

Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday, November 7, 2016 at New Apostolic Church, 5602 S. Ironwood Road, South Bend, IN. Evangelist Kerry Hab will officiate. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services at the church. Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
