Shirley Bucher (Snyder) - Class Of 1956 VIEW PROFILE

Shirley Bucher (Snyder)

Shirley A. Snyder

Osceola - Shirley Ann Snyder, 83, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021, into the loving arms of her Savior, while in the presence of her entire family. Shirley was a wife, mother of five, sister, and aunt. She loved her family with all her might, and will be sorely missed. Shirley was born April 3, 1938 in South Bend, IN, where she resided. On September 23, 1961, she married John Harry Snyder, Sr, who survives. She passed away on the day of their 60th anniversary.

Shirley loved being a mom, grandma, and great-grandma. She always had a story ready about the latest cute thing one of the kids did or said. Even though she got a degree to be a teacher, she unselfishly devoted herself to being fulltime daycare for the grandkids and half the neighborhood. Even though she lived in humble means, she always saw to it that her children and grandchildren were well fed and clothed. Even though illness ravaged her body, she still showed her love for all.

Shirley is survived by her husband, John Sr., her son John Jr (Tracey), son Kevin (Paula), daughter Lisa (George Bagley), son Scott (Carole) and son Keith (Julie); siblings Carol Michaels and Thomas (Roseann) Bucher. Grandchildren are Christopher (Heather) Snyder, Ashleigh Snyder, Haley Snyder, Kyle Snyder, Travis Snyder, Elijah Snyder, Liliana Snyder, Luke Bagley, Jakob Bagley, Paige Bagley, Nichole Stone, and Cody Stone and unofficial second daughter to the family, Jackie White. Great-grandchildren are Levi Snyder, Avery Snyder, and Tilly Snyder.

Shirley's mother, Lorraine Bucher Petty; father, James Bucher; stepfather, Meridith Petty; sister, Sharon Dimmitt, and sister, Sandra Chapman have all preceded her in death.

The family appreciates all the generous and kind well-wishes.
