SOUTH BEND - David E. Miller, 65, passed away on Friday, September 13, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. David was born on August 29, 1948, in South Bend. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sophie Miller, and his grandmother, Teofila Sobierajski.

On October 4, 1986, in Niles, MI, he married the former Susan Rhoade. Surviving are his loving wife, Susan; his brother, Dale (Barb) Miller of Edwardsburg, MI; cousin, Jeannie Haag of Granger; brother-in-law, Phil Rhoade of South Bend, and sister-in-law, Mary Spratt of Cleveland, OH.

He graduated from Washington High School and Indiana Wesleyan University.

David was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving in the Intelligence Section while stationed in Alaska and Germany. He took pride in his house, yard and garden. He enjoyed swimming, golfing, and the activities at the YMCA. David and Sue enjoyed traveling to Williamsburg, Asheville, Charleston and Savannah. David worked at Fiserv for over 30 years as a computer specialist. He loved his dogs, Biscuit and Spanky.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, September 16, from 5 to 8 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A private family memorial will take place.
