MARK J. BOTOS

Botos, Mark Joseph 63, of Naperville, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 10, 2012 with his family at his side in prayer. He was born June 10, 1948 in South Bend, Indiana. Mark is survived by his best friend and beloved wife of 40 years, Becky; his devoted sons, Matthew and Justin; his cherished mother, Laraine Botos; his extended family, Fred and Cathy Engimann, James Kaczmarek, and his nieces, nephews and cousins. He was blessed to have a lifetime full of good friends with whom he enjoyed cards, golf, and great conversations on the front porch.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Botos.

Mark grew up in South Bend, Indiana. He was a graduate of Washington High School and earned his bachelors degree from Purdue University. He was a member of Phi Kappa Theta and treasured those memories of friendship and was so proud that his boys also graduated from Purdue. Above all, Mark was a devoted husband and a caring father. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and honesty. His message was always to move forward and do the right thing.

For those who would like to leave a lasting tribute to Mark's battle with pancreatic cancer, memorials can be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.

Friends and family are welcome to gather to celebrate Mark's life at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 1500 Brookdale Rd, Naperville, IL 60563 on Thursday, February 16. A visitation with the family will take place from 9:30 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial which begins at 10:30 AM. Interment will be private.
