PAUL E. DONALDSON

April 17, 1952 - April 7, 2008
MUNCIE - Paul E. Donaldson, 55, of Muncie, Indiana and a former resident of South Bend, Indiana died Monday in IUPUI Medical Center. He is survived by his wife, Carmelita (Saffell) Donaldson; daughters, Tavonia and Jennifer Donaldson; sons Paul, Jason and Jamen Donaldson; step-daughters Joyce (Derrick) Jamerson, Kimberly (Julian) Allison and Angela Saffell; step-son, Brittain Perry; grandchildren, VaSaun and Jada Donaldson; step-grandchildren, Jailah, Christian, Nia, Briana and Jordyn; his father, Johnnie Donaldson III; sisters, Helen (William) Harris, Ruth (David) Blake, Gail (Wayne) Woodfork and Bettie Donaldson; brothers, Jimmy, Joe, William (Lavern), Ivan (Margaret), Jerry (Vanessa) and Kenneth (Sharon) Donaldson.

Paul was a graduate of Washington High School and Ivy Tech College.

He retired from AM General Corporation after many years of dedicated service. Paul served in the United States Army until he was honorably discharged. He was an active member of Destiny Christian Center in Muncie, Indiana. Paul enjoyed cooking and listening to music, his favorite was the down home "Blues"

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 12, 11:00 a.m. in Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, 137 East Indiana Avenue South Bend, IN. Burial will be immediately following memorial services. Visitation for Paul will be Friday, April 11, Alford's Mortuary 1222 Napier Street, South Bend, at 7:00 p.m. Pastor W. Keith O'Neal will officiate.

Paul was preceded in death by his son, Jarvis Donaldson; stepson Mario Saffell; his mother, Izola (Gates) Donaldson; and a brother, Alan Donaldson.
