Dean VanWanzeele

Dean VanWanzeele, 71, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022.

Dean was born November 9, 1950 in South Bend to the late Robert and Irene (Dhaeze) VanWanzeele.

Left to cherish the memory of Dean are his daughters, Lisa (Robert) Rea, and Anita (Andy) Dickey; grandchildren, Alyssa (Stephen) Flowers, Ali Rea, Brett Rea, Drake Dickey; great-grandson, Jaxson Flowers and brother, Don (Brenda) VanWanzeele.

Dean honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was employed with the South Bend School Corporation for 30 years. Dean was a member of the American Legion, and was the Manager of the Border Line Country Band. He loved all types of music, Notre Dame Football, and NASCAR.

Visitation for Dean will be 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, Friday, January 7, 2022 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. A Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel with the burial to follow at Highland Cemetery.
