Peter Paul Woodard, Sr.

SOUTH BEND - Peter Paul Woodard, Sr., age 76, was born February 10, 1940 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Simuel D. Woodard Sr. and Ursula Woodard. He was the eleventh of twelve children -- brothers: John, Robert, Simuel Jr., Irvin, Fred, James, William and Albert; sisters: Mary Alford (Freddie), Ursula Mills and Rose Abrams (Ray).
He graduated from Washington High School in 1958 and served in the United States Army as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division under General Dwight D. Eisenhower. Peter was a member of The Delco's whose debut single Arabia was released in the fall of 1962.
Peter departed this life on Wednesday, April 20th, 2016 at Signature Health Care where he resided three years and was honored on the wall of fame as an entertainer of music.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Cobb Funeral Home located at 3525 S. Michigan Avenue, South Bend, Indiana 46614. The repast to follow at Greater Saint John Missionary Baptist Church, 101 N. Adams, South Bend, Indiana 46601.
