YVONNE A. MAGEE

SOUTH BEND - Yvonne Annette Magee passed from this life at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center on August 13, 2009. Yvonne, a resident of Western Avenue, South Bend, was 31 years of age. Yvonne was born to the union of Y.C. and Johnella (Parker) Magee on December 26, 1977, in South Bend.

She graduated from Washington High School and attended Bethel College.

She was employed by Teachers Credit Union as a teller for the past year. She also worked for the government under President Obama, and was a manager for Pierre Pagoda for three years. During her high school years, she worked at McDonalds. Ms. Magee was a lady who loved the Lord. She especially enjoyed attending church, singing and helping people with child care. She was fond of people and loved fellowshipping. She had a "Mother Hen" spirit and was usually over-protective. Yvonne also was a giving person with a good spirit who was very funny. Her church membership was with the Revelation COGIC.

Loving family members who survive to cherish her memory include her mother, Johnella Finnerran; four sisters, Jennifer (Stephen) Byrd, JoAnn (Clay) Garner and Tiana Magee, all of South Bend, and Charlotte Magee of St. Louis, MO; three brothers, Silous Magee and Y.C. Magee Jr., both of South Bend, and Terry Magee of Flint, MI; a host of nieces and nephews, along with other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were her father, Y.C. Magee; a brother, David Magee; and two uncles, Emmett Magee and T.C. Magee.

The homegoing celebration for Yvonne Annette Magee will be held on Friday, August 21, at 2:00 p.m. in Alford's Mortuary to which arrangements have been entrusted.
