John Raymond Robakowski, 81 years old, passed away on December 16, 2023 at Healthwin Nursing Home in South Bend.
John was born on October 23, 1942 in South Bend, to Raymond and Margaret (Nemeth) Robakowski. John is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond & Margaret Robakowski, and sister, Joan Robakowski.
Left to cherish their memories, John is survived by his significant other, Dolores Turnock; daughter, Lori (Keith) Zapp; and grandchildren, Charles, Daniel, and Claire.
John attended IUSB, and after graduating, John worked for Hill Truck Sales as a Route Salesman. John also served in the Army National Guard for 6 years. His favorite past-times included fishing and bowling. In his younger years he enjoyed playing tennis, then later in life he played softball in the senior league for over 17 years.
Friends and family will be received from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm, with a funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm on Friday, December 22, 2023 at St. Joseph Funeral Home, South Bend. Burial will be at a later date in St. Joseph Cemetery.
