7 July 1945 - 7 May 2021 Janice Lee Scherpereel of Raleigh, NC went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 7, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Teresa Milliken and son Billy Scherpereel. She is survived by her daughter Jill Scherpereel (Randy Sims), son Jeff Scherpereel (Melissa), brothers Kenneth "Doc" Milliken (Cheryl), Terry Milliken (Christina), sister Jeanette Miller (Bo), grandchildren Alison Brandle (Kyle), Connor, Harley, Evan and Ansley, great grandson Liam and numerous nieces and nephews.

A South Bend, Indiana native, Janice had a love for life and everyone and everything; always a compassionate listener and a warm and loving companion. Having worked in the airline industry for numerous years, she spread her love and called home in Anchorage, AK, Tucson, AZ, Charleston, SC, Miami, FL and Raleigh, NC.

A devout Christian, Janice spent years as a leader in Awana, teaching the youth in the community. She loved her Sunday School class and all the friends she made while expanding her faith. A lifelong beautician, she loved cutting hair for family and friends and had a love for crafts and knitting and would donate her work to those in need. The family would like to thank the nurses at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills for all the love and support they provided during this time.

There will be a service held in the Sanctuary of Forest Hills Baptist Church Saturday May 15 beginning at 1:00 at 201 Dixie Trail Raleigh, NC.
