Sep. 21, 1948 - May 2, 2016

SOUTH BEND - Larry Mark Yuhasz, 67, of South Bend, passed away on Monday afternoon, May 2nd, in Hospice care.

Larry was born on September 21, 1948, in South Bend, IN, to the late Frank J. and Jane (Mark) Yuhasz. He was preceded in death by his youngest brother, David M. Yuhasz. He is survived by his daughter, Melissa (Yuhasz) Konstanty, 41, son-in-law, Tim Konstanty, 50, and grandsons, Joseph Konstanty, 24, and Jordan Konstanty, 17, all of South Bend; brother, Frank “John” Yuhasz Jr. and wife Ruthie of South Bend; sister-in-law, Jenny (Barber) Yuhasz of South Bend; two nephews, three nieces, five great-nephews, two great-nieces; and so many lifetime and lifelong friends and family.

Larry was a proud graduate of Washington High School in 1967. He held a few jobs in his youth before taking a position at Mayfield Machine from 1987-1994 and his current, long-term position as a machinist with CM Grinding of South Bend.

Larry was a lifetime avid bowler who participated locally at Beacon and Chippewa Bowl for 6 decades. When he wasn't bowling a great game, you could find him singing karaoke in the lounge. He kept busy with his friends and family and was always up for a family gathering. He would like to be remembered as someone who encouraged family to get together because time was so precious. Whether it was going to the cinema, taking part in a cookout or just hanging out with his daughter, grandsons, nieces and nephews, you could see a sparkle in his eye and knew he was in his element. He was a collector of sorts, ranging from comics to videos and enjoyed various hobbies. Among those hobbies were ND football and basketball and Chicago Cubs baseball. He was a practical joker, loved a good prank and told silly jokes. He simply enjoyed making people laugh and had an infectious giggle! He adored the Three Stooges and could make you smile when reciting and acting out some of their iconic moves.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 7th, at Welsheimer Family Funeral Home, 521 N. William Street. Friends may call Friday, May 6th, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the funeral Saturday. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Larry's famous line was “Catch ya later”....until we meet again, Larry, with love, catch ya later. Family and friends may leave e-mail condolences at www.welsheimer.com.
