VANDALIA - Kenneth D. Richmond, 64, born March 5, 1949, died April 1, 2013, at 10:15 a.m. in Vandalia, MI.

Ken was born at Memorial Hospital, South Bend, IN, to Dale K. Richmond of South Bend and Shirley J. Richmond. Left to celebrate Ken's memory are his daughters, Gina Coughlin of Chicago, IL, Linzi Richmond and Lena Richmond, both of Edwardsburg, MI; granddaughter, Madison Coughlin of Chicago, IL; brother, John Richmond; John's wife, Connie Richmond of Vandalia, MI; father, Dale Richmond of South Bend; and nephews, Jay, Jeff and Jack Richmond of South Bend, IN.

Ken attended Washington High School and became a black belt in Karate before graduating from the Indiana College of Mortuary Science in Indianapolis. Ken then traveled the world from Puerto Rico to England, Scotland, South Korea, North Korea, Japan, Italy, Ireland, Germany, and throughout the United States performing stunts on television shows including The Late Show with David Letterman, The Steve Harvey Show, WOW, Ripley's Believe it or Not, and in front of live audiences. He was awarded a gold medal in Japan for performing the world's most dangerous stunt. Ken then became Vice President of A&N Distributors in Elkhart, IN.

Ken was an avid photographer and enjoyed editing in PhotoShop. He was also a social networking moderator. He loved nothing more than spending time with his daughters.

Ken's family would like to thank the wonderful staff members of Memorial's Outpatient Oncology Center and the Michiana Hematology, Oncology for their excellent medical care and constant compassion during the last years of his life, and a special thanks to Duane Wampler of the South Bend Clinic for all that he has done.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 4, 2013, from 2 to 4 p.m., with a celebration of Ken's life following visitation hours. Services will be held at Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, Ken requested that donations be made to Hospice Care Centers.
