NEW CARLISLE - James A. Buszkiewicz, 47, of New Carlisle, Ind., died at 8 a.m., Tuesday, in his home.

He was born on March 4, 1949, in South Bend, Ind., and was a lifelong area resident.

He was employed by Workforce Development Services of South Bend. He was a former employee of Radiation Research Laboratory at Notre Dame and Zenith Data System in St. Joseph, Mich., and he was a continuing education instructor at Indiana University of South Bend.

On Aug. 26, 1972, in South Bend, he married Sylvia Piatkowski, who survives.

Also surviving is a daughter, Jessica Buszkiewicz; two sons, John and James Buszkiewicz Jr., all of New Carlisle; and a sister, Kathy Buszkiewicz of Cleveland, Ohio.

Mr. Buszkiewicz was a Ham operator, Cub Scout leader, T-ball coach, and a 4-H leader. He attended Tri State College in Angola, Ind., and was a graduate of Rets Technical College in South Bend.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 18, in the St. Joseph Funeral Home. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., today, in the funeral home, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m., today. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
