SOUTH BEND - Ms. Willa Kathleen Lottie departed this life on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 in her home, surrounded by her family. Kathleen was born on August 3, 1936 in South Bend, IN to the union of Eugene and Ersaline (Binion) Davis. She was enrolled in the South Bend Community Schools, where she attended Oliver Elementary/Junior High School and Washington High School. She was employed by Cardinal Nursing Home, Memorial Hospital, and La Petite Daycare. After her retirement, she enjoyed babysitting her great-grandchildren and working as a foster grandparent at Lafayette School. Kathleen was a child of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, and she loved reading her Bible every day until she no longer could. She was a long time member of Faith Baptist Church, where she helped set up Communion and Baptismals, with a servant's heart.

She was a loving mother to twin boys, Elder Kevin (Rhonda) Davis and Keith (Doreen) Davis of South Bend, IN; and four daughters, Pamela Davis of Las Vegas, NV, Kimberly Davis and Michele (Ronnie) Perry of South Bend, IN, and Cheryl Hudson Carter (deceased). In addition to her children, she raised three grandchildren, David Darnell of Rancho Cucamonga, California, Calvin Peterson Jr. of South Bend, IN, and Tiffany Husband of Kansas City, Kansas. She was a loving sister to four brothers, Leon (Lois) Davis of South Bend, IN, Eugene (Eleanor) Davis of Murfreesboro, TN, Jewell Davis of South Bend, IN, and David Davis (deceased); and nine sisters, Faygene Cannady, Lillian Stokes, Juanita Harris, Carol Powell, and Sandra Davis, all of South Bend, IN, Louise Davis of Westville, IN, and Gloria Harris and Betty Davis (both deceased). She also leaves behind a very special sister-in-law, Viola Taylor. Lastly, she was a loving grandmother to 19 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.

A special thanks to Shawnae Davis, who moved into her “Gram's” house, to help care for her until her passing.

Another special thanks to Hospice, St. Joe visiting nurses, Real Services, and Dr. Chris Hall of South Bend, IN.

Services will be held at Faith Baptist Church, 1002 Blaine Ave., Wednesday, April 4, 2018. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. with services immediately following.
