Richard Lee Rozmarynowski

RIP to my husband of 56 years. We met at Washington High School and married when I was 18 and he was 20 yrs old.

July 9, 1944 - November 15, 2021

South Bend - Richard Rozmarynowski, 77, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Monday, November 15, 2021.

Richard was born in South Bend to the late Cassmier & Rose (Skubis) Rozmarynowski. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Dennis and Stanley Rozmarynowski.

Left to cherish the memory of Richard is his loving wife of 56 years, Patricia (Machowiak) Rozmarynowski, along with their children, Deborah (Roger) Balderas, Julie (Neal) Flanagan, Bryan (Cindy) Rozmarynowski; grandchildren, Jason Markovich, Kyle (Alyson) Markovich, Brandon Markovich, Andres Balderas, Alex Balderas, Aaron Balderas, Aleena Ruscella, Eusebia Balderas; great-grandson, Malakai Reed; sister-in-law, Nancy Rozmarynowski; and brother-in-law, Stanley Machowiak, Jr.

Richard was a Class of 1963 Washington High School graduate; and named in the WHS Athletic Hall Fame. He was a Police Officer for the South Bend Police Department and retired after 25 years of service. He then became a civilian employee with the Police Department Motor Pool for 17 years. Richard was a member of the FOP Lodge 36 (Fraternal Order of Police), and the St. Casimir Married Men’s Club. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and going to the casino with his buddy, John Winston.
