SOUTH BEND - James F. Urbanski, 67, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018 in Memorial Hospital. James was born September 24, 1950 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Eugene and Josephine (Barnicki) Urbanski (Borsodi). Survivors of James include two daughters, Jamie (Nick Johann) Urbanski of Nineveh, Indiana and Lori (Stewart Jones) Vail of South Bend, Indiana; two sons, Robert (Julie) Urbanski of South Bend, Indiana and Mark Urbanski of South Bend, Indiana; nine grandchildren, Alayah, Heather, Maranda, Robert, Adreana, Brooklyn, Mike, Katie, and Sam; 8 great-grandchildren, Naomi, Eli, Selah, Miguel, Maxton, Brayden, Landen, and Camden; two brothers, Michael (Gloria) Urbanski of Granger, Indiana and Robert (Debra) Urbanski of South Bend, Indiana. James was a member of the NRA. He was a sport shooter, and enjoyed watching NASCAR. His favorite thing in life was to spend time with his grandchildren. Visitation for James will be from 2:00 until 7:00 pm, on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr., South Bend, IN. A Catholic Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 pm in the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses from the infusion floor at Memorial Hospital, Dr. Reid and all of his staff, and the entire staff of the 10th floor of Memorial Hospital.
