GRANGER - James (Jim) M. Orszulak 67, passed away January 6, 2018 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.

Jim was born in South Bend on October 10, 1950 to the late Ben and Eleanor (Toth) Orszulak.

On November 6, 1971, James married Bonnie James in St. Adalberts Catholic Church in South Bend. They were married 46 wonderful years. James is survived by his wife, Bonnie.

Also left to cherish his memory are sisters: Sandy (Orszulak) Batchelor of Texas and Bonnie (Orszulak) Fodness of Virginia Beach; three nieces, Debbie McBride of Flower Mound, TX, Donna Baty of Lewisville, TX and Denise Batchelor of Houston, TX; two nephews, Brent Fodness of Alabama and Andrew Fodness of Virginia Beach, VA; mother-in-law, Elizabeth James; and sister-in-law, Andrea James.

Jim attended St. Adalberts Elementary School, Washington High School and Ivy Tech where he earned a degree as a mold-maker. He took his apprenticeship at Michigan Plastic Inc., worked as a mold maker at Kraft Tool and Mold. He then became Foreman at Michigan Plastics Inc., and was promoted to General Manager. From 1988 until his retirement in 2003, Jim became owner and operator in partnership with his wife Bonnie, of Michiana Plastics and for a short time also owned Hoosier Molded Products.

Jim was a member of Michiana Vintage Racers, a former member of St. Joe Valley Street Rodders, and Elkhart County Bass Masters Fishing Club. He was an avid enthusiast of restoring vintage races cars, and a master at refurbishing muscle cars. Jim also enjoyed building and collecting plastic model cars, fishing, hunting, playing euchre and working on cars in his garage. Jim was accomplished in so many things, too many to mention. He will be remembered as a loving husband, brother and devoted friend who will be missed by many.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 10 at McGann Hay Funerals / Cremations / Gatherings, Granger Chapel, 13260 S.R. 23, enter off Cherry, from 4pm to 7pm. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 11th at the funeral home, with Rev John Railton, officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
